Thinking about purchasing a laptop in the near future? Well if so, you should buy one in next month or so because laptop prices will not decline anytime in the near future. Due to all the technology advancements that are being made every year, we are been conditioned to always expect declining prices in technology hardware which include desktops and laptops.
Richard Shim, a technology expert for IDC has stated that even though laptop prices have dropped in price at average rate of $200 per year, that will not be the case now. Due to current soaring prices of the raw materials that are needed to make laptops( such as nickel, resin, and cobalt, costs have risen dramatically. Many of the top manufactures that produce laptops are from Asian countries that are affected by the rising material cost. So now the top makers of laptops like HP, Apple, and Dell are being pressured to eat the cost.
In the end, the major brands will take on the extra cost, but guess who will suffers like always…The Consumer!! If you were thinking about purchasing a laptop, you should thing about buying one now.
